I’m Totally Mixed-Up!

Happy New Year!

I’ve seen a lot of great posts online this week about thinking positive, being “in the moment,” and making the most of 2015.

Neil Gaiman wants us to make mistakes. He hopes we make glorious, amazing mistakes.

This song by J.J. Heller and her husband made me smile. In the first few lines, it talks about the cracks in the walls. Due to some faulty drywall methods used on our new bedroom a few years ago, I’ve fallen asleep and awakened to cracked walls for the past few years. Well, this year, they may or may not get fixed. But I’m not going to focus on them!

And one of the year’s most Facebooked author quotes this season came from Brad Paisley.  (Click to see it).  Because most great literary quotes come from county music singers, right?

Anyway, I stopped by to say that there are lot of great New Year posts out there for you to look at.

And, if you’re a writer, a teacher, a reader, a librarian, or a parent of anyone who loves books for Middle-Grade readers, please take a moment to stop here.

From the Mixed-Up Files of Middle-Grade Authors

This site is the collaborative effort of a couple dozen middle-grade authors. And, let me tell you, it is loaded – I mean loaded – with resources for anyone who loves children and books.  Today’s blogger is… yours truly.

So, click here to read my very first post as a Mixed-Up Author!

And, if you’re a writer, Happy Season to You (whichever one you’re in right now!)
