Dottie Kamenshek was born here. Cincinnati’s favorite female first baseman left the Norwood neighborhood in 1943 to try out for Philip Wrigley’s All American Girls Professional Baseball League and made history as a ten-year standout for the Rockford Peaches. Dottie contributed to the character played by Geena Davis in the hit film A League of Their Own. Come meet author Michelle Houts and special guests, Dottie’s Cincinnati family.
