Children’s Book Signing – Devaney, Doak & Garrett Booksellers, Farmington, Maine

Michelle Houts, author of several books for young readers, will be on hand to talk about legendary hiker Emma “Grandma” Gatewood and to sign copies of her picture book, When Grandma Gatewood Took a Hike.  Published by Ohio University  Press, the book tells the story of how a petite grandmother from Ohio beat the odds and became the first woman to through-hike the AT alone.
